Her published debut novel, Forever Damned, and follow-up Revenge of the Damned, are a unique twist in vampire lore, and introduce an entirely different kind of vampire into the genre. Novels made all the more impressive because her debut novel was written in 1992, before the returned popularity of vampire fiction. She is currently at work on the third and final book in the trilogy, The Devil and the Damned.
Erin has said... “The decision to write about a modern day vampire was a unusual choice for me, because my ‘comfort zone’ for lack of a better term, had always been and, if I’m being honest, remains a more mainstream mix of suspense and mystery and many genres besides. That’s not to say I don’t hold particular affection for, and interest in, the characters which have been such a success for me, but I wouldn’t want to give my readers, or future readers, the impression that very dark, fantasy fiction is all I have, or plan to offer.”
